The airline with the most flights from Dallas to Vancouver is American Airlines. The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is American Airline's main airport hub. Canadian passengers should note that WestJet Airlines code share with American and it is possible to travel on a WestJet ticket code when booking airfare to Vancouver from Dallas.

If you want to fly non-stop to Vancouver, American Airlines and WestJet Airlines (code sharing with American) are your only options. Although WestJet is know as Canada's discount airline, flights with WestJet between these two cities are not usually the cheapest option.

The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the major air connection point on the West Coast of Canada, so you do have several airfare options if you are willing do make one stop. One stop flights are often cheaper than the non-stop flights.

YVR airport is located in Richmond, BC which is 12 kilometers from downtown Vancouver. Transportation is easy, major car rental companies are located just steps from the main terminal in the ground level parkade.

For taxi and limo service, you'll find an attendant immediately upon exiting the terminal. The area is well organized and it is not common to wait long for a cab. If you are arriving near rush hour, consider the limo service. The limo's are a fixed price to downtown and during rush hour this can be a good choice.

There is excellent public transit as well. In addition to the standard bus service, you can take the Canada Line rapid rail transit to downtown. It is a great way to get to the city center quickly. If you are traveling solo and don't have someone picking you up, it is the cheapest way to get to town, short of hitching for a ride.
