Latin American Airlines Flying From Vancouver

With the exception of Mexico, Latin America remains a market that is not served particularly well from Vancouver. There are no Latin American airlines directly flying from Vancouver. Fortunately, the three large airline alliances One World, Star Alliance and Sky Team fill this gap. With these three alliances, it is possible to book flights from Vancouver with AeroMexico, LAN Airlines and TAM Linhas Aereas (TAM Airlines). In addition, with code sharing arrangements with other airlines you can also book flights with Avianca, COPA Airlines and TACA Airlines from Vancouver. In 2012, Aerolineas Argentinas is scheduled to join the Sky Team Alliance.

Flights from the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Mexico and some areas of the Caribbean continue to be well priced and most of the year you can find cheap airline tickets to Mexico and some Caribbean locations. However, to destinations in Central America and South America, travellers generally have to search more sites to find the best airfares. Travel aggregator sites like Low Fares and Mobissimo will often advertise cheap flights to South America and Central American destinations. The aggregator sites will save time in the search for airfare, as they compare airline ticket prices across several sites in one search.
