Flights To Galiano Island From Vancouver

You can fly to Galiano Island from Vancouver. One of British Columbia's beautiful Southern Gulf Islands, Galiano Island is located between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland of BC. The wait time for ferries can be long, particularily in the Spring/Summer months and the ferry cost is expensive. If you are tight for time, save yourself the delays and take advantage of the excellent floatplane service to the island.

Flights depart from Downtown Vancouver and from the Vancouver International Airport Seaplane Terminal YVR and arrive in Montague Harbour

Daily floatplane flight service is offered by Salt Spring Air and Seair Seaplanes. In addtion to these two airlines, Kenmore Air have flights to Galiano from 3 locations in Washington State.

Arriving on Galiano Island

Flying from either Downtown Vancouver or the International Airport YVR by floatplane, you will be arriving at Galiano's Montague Harbour.

The Montague Harbour is popular with boaters and in the summer months the harbour is full with sailboats and yachts. One of the most popular Provincial Parks in the Gulf Islands is the Montague Harbour Marine Provincial Park.

Seair Seaplanes flights depart out of the YVR Seaplane terminal. Salt Spring Air have flights from downtown and the YVR Seaplane Terminal. The Salt Spring Air website is not great and it is difficult to locate a schedule for Galiano Island.
